Art is not only a means of happiness in my life, but my favorite hobby. It is such a strong influence on me, that when I look at things in life, I break them down into art components. At Christmas I see complementary colors. My friends tell me that my sketch book is my Siamese twin because it is always with me. The past four summers have had art classes in them, and now two class periods are one for visual art, another for band. I stay up late because I just have to draw one more thing, put that idea down on paper before my mind can drift away. Some things are not best verbalized. They are best shown. I call myself first an artist before anything else. If I have a set of paints, oil pastels, or drawing pencils when with friends, it is not questioned. It is known that that is just me. I am extremely excited to be starting college in one of the top art programs in the country. I can hardly wait!
