When I try to download JDK, I get this Sun(TM) Download Manager window pop up showing File Name - jdk-6u14-windows-i586.exe, File Size - at 75242KB, Status - Failed to create file in destination directory. When I click on Details, it also shows Verification - off, Host - cds.sun.com, Directory - C:\Program Files\Java, Recovery Attempts - 0, and Recoverable Errors - 0. Any help is appreciated.

I think it is because the Sun Download Manager attempts to install but it doesn't have the required permissions. When downloading, try not using the download manager and click on the exe file directly. At the download page, click on "jdk-6u14-windows-i586.exe"
