Wrath of the Lich King has introduced us to a new character class. The Death Knight. A fallen hero brought back to serve the Lich King. For starters you have to have a character that is level 55 to create your Death Knight. They can be any race and you start out as a level 55. The quests you perform at the start of your character, can be described as evil. You kill villages, you burn their homes, even your mount was once a live animal that has to be taken to another plane to emerge as a death mount. The death knight has no conscience and is bent on destruction......but........at a confrontation at Light Hope's Chapel, you have an encounter that changes your perspective and now your abilities to wreak havoc will now be used against the scourge. It's an interesting way to begin. On the player side, the Death Knight has 3 talent trees like all other classes enabling you to be unholy, blood or ice specialized. Each gives you better skills and a different style of play. One of the things that is unique to the Death Knight, is that instead of a mana pool you actually generate rune points in order to perform your "spells". Each time you use a rune in one of the thee talents it is exhausted and needs to refresh. Also, combo skills that require use of the two spells of two trees is used before performing the third for maximum effect has some people complaining that the class is complicated. I saw "yay!!" because the Death Knight requires some skill never before required in a WoW class. The hero class should require more thought in your game play. In the end, I saw that blizzard did a great job with the Death Knight. Good job after Burning Crusade was a bit of a disappointment, Lich King delivers a nice, exciting new piece.
