Description

Here comes the fun part! Design your own map for your robot to run in!

This activity will get you started with RoboMind. In this activity, you will:

  • make your own map
Skills you learn will include:
  • learn how to create a RoboMind map

Basic Steps

Here are the steps:

  1. Open RoboMind.
  2. Download this .pdf file for instructions on how to make a map.
    1. Read through the sections.
  3. Your Assignment: Map
    1. Create a maze map.
    2. Your map must contain: at least 6 different types of properly placed walls, 2 tiles of black or white paint, a beacon, and a starting point.
    3. Save the map as a .map file.
    4. Run your robot on the map.
    5. Upload your map as a submission!
  4. Bonus: Check out other people's submission maps!
