Description
If you have completed the Make a 3D Video Game learning path, you are now ready to try the challenge activity. For this activity, you will use the skills that you developed in the learning path to create an original game.
To get some ideas of the things that can be done with Wild Pockets, take a look at the Wild Pockets Showcase page. You should also browse through the Wild Pockets object library; seeing what kids of objects are available might give you some ideas for your game.
Learn as much as you can about Ed Hardy. Take a look at the wikipedia pages on Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier. Look at their company website. Do your own searches as well.
Then go build the coolest Ed Hardy inspired game you can. Good luck with the challenge!
Basic Steps
- Before starting, think about what you want your game to do. You might want to do some rough sketches of what you want your environment and characters to look like. And think about how to make your game relevant to Ed Hardy.
- Visit http://wildpockets.com and log in to your account.
- Click on the Build icon (the screwdriver) to enter the Builder.
- Create a new scene.
- Create your game!
- Grab any graphics that look good from the Ed Hardy Graphics page.
- Complete the activity by submitting the URL for your game. In the builder, go to the File menu, and select Send To A Friend. A small dialog box will pop up containing a URL; copy the URL and submit it to the activity. The URL will probably be longer than you can see in the box, so be sure to scroll and grab all of the text!
