It is easy to make a video - but much harder to make your point, be convincing, impactful or influence others.
This activity will help you to create a great influential video. If you are pretty new to video making, you should try out some of all of the video learning path.
Basic Steps
Making the video is not hard, having the impact you want is. Here are a number of things to consider.
- Understand your audience.
- Consider what they do, how they think, who they like and dislike, how comfortable they are with technology, and so on.
- Research and really know your topic.
- Really dig in an - looking especially for interesting and important facts, details and examples.
- Make sure you are completely clear on the point or purpose of your video.
- You should be able to explain this in a sentence or two.

- Plan out your video. Lots to consider here.
- Open your video with a bang.
- Include examples, facts, testimonial, benefits, etc.
- Design the flow to build to a climax.
- Close with the stongest example, fact, testimonial or benefit that you have.
- Pick great music to create the desired effect.
- And finally provide them with a way to contact you, get more information or follow up in some way.
- Create a storyboard and script.
- Gather up all of the material that you need.
- Video camera, lights, microphone.
- Collect video, music, pictures, etc.
- Shoot any additional video needed following your storyboard and script.
- Edit the video.
- Add titles, credits, music.
- Upload to this activity and share with others.
