Success in this learning path is really dependent upon taking advantage of the instructions on the Digging Deeper page, so check it out now!

Step 1:  Assess what kind of microphone you have readily available—do you have a built-in microphone on your computer?

Step 2:  (Optional) If you have the budget for an inexpensive noise-canceling microphone, consider buying one.

Step 3:  Make sure your microphone is functioning as the audio input for your computer system.

Step 4:  Save your changes in the System Preferences or Control Panel.
